Default Reset Password Not working

Hey all, I use to play guild wars about 9 months ago im looking to return back to the game but when i reset my password I do not get an email. My junk filter settings were turned to lowest and i tried again. I tried playNC support and they were useless, see below..

Thanks for contacting the Guild Wars Support Team. I'm afraid that unless you can provide the information detailed below, we will be unable to assist you in a manual reset of your Guild Wars password:

- The 25 digits of your Guild Wars access key
- The scan of your access key
- The scan of your proof of purchase

If you cannot provide this information, I'm afraid that the only solution would be to double-check your email account's spam filter and attempt a second reset of your Guild Wars password, by following the steps below:

- Start Guild Wars
- On the Login-Screen, click on "Reset Password"
- On the following screen, enter your account-name
- Your password will be reset and sent to your Guild Wars email

As I already said I cant find the access key and I cant give you a scan of
the receipt because it was ordered online.

What I am struggling to comprehend how you can let the system reset my
password and send it to this email (although thats not working for me) but
you cant send the password manually to this email. How come access to my
email is proof of my account ownership to the automatic system but not the
manual system?

Am I the only who thinks asking for the Access key 1 year+ after the game is out is stupid?
I have brought this to the forums to find out if anyone can recommend what I can do. As I have seen the improvements in the game and would like to come back, dont want to start from scratch though....

I heard that since a bit ago (perhaps a month), people couldn't change their password or email address...probably a bug.

Yes.

If it wasn't that way anyone could request a reset on any account. If you bought it online you should have the email that included the key, or the physical package with the key.

Reset password works fine did it myself yesterday. Your having lost the key is the problem, and unless I'm mistaken, like anyone else who's played this game, but not for awhile you'll either have to accept that you can't change your password until you do find your old key or buy a new account.
